Community Awards 2024

The Rotary Club of Bishopdale-Burnside recently held it’s Community Service Awards evening at the Hotel Elms in November 2024.

Eleven awards were presented by current president Garry Hampton who commented that these award evenings were always a highlight of the club’s Rotary year.

He said “the achievements and calibre of all the recipients is impressive so it’s appropriate they are recognised for the contribution they make to the Christchurch community.”

Special Guest for the evening was Simon Challies who was instrumental in the setup of the Braintree Wellness Support Centre. Simon addressed the meeting and helped present some of the awards.  In turn Simon was presented with a Paul Harris Fellow from the Rotary Club of Bishopdale Burnside.
