It’s that time of year when everyone is busy with work and personal commitments in the lead up to the Christmas break.

However, Club President Garry Hampton and Charitable Trust Chairperson Alistair Coleman took time out to visit the Nurse Maude Hospice and make a couple of donations on behalf of the Rotary Club of Bishopdale Burnside Charitable Trust.

The first donation was a cheque for $20,000 representing proceeds from our recently run ARTarama 2018.  This was presented by Garry to Jane Cartwright and Jane Rollings from Nurse Maude.

The second donation was artwork for display at the hospice.

This is the third Hospice Artarama run by the Rotary Club of Bishopdale Burnside  and funds presented from those events total $60,000.

Also subsequent to the ARTarama, the Club also donated a couple of paintings to the Canterbury Charitable Hospital Gala Fundraising event auction. These paintings fetched some serious bids on the night and went a small way towards the Charitable Hospital’s target for the event.
