🧑‍⚖️Our Trust Structure

The Trust is governed by five appointed Trustees, Trustees serve three‑year terms and may be reappointed on a rotating basis. Trustees are appointed by the current President of the Rotary Club.

Each year:

• Trustees elect a Chairperson and Secretary

• A Treasurer is appointed (may be non‑trustee)

• An Auditor/Reviewer may be appointed

• The financial year ends 30 June

• An annual report is filed with Charities Services in December

This structure ensures accountability, transparency, and responsible management of all funds entrusted to us.

The Rotary Club of Bishopdale Burnside Charitable Trust exists to make a meaningful and lasting difference in our community. We focus on initiatives that uplift people, strengthen local services, and create opportunities for growth.

We support:

📘 Literacy & Education

• • Resources for kindergartens, schools, and educational organisations
  • Scholarships and academic prizes
  • Assistance for groups working to improve literacy and numeracy

💙 Community Wellbeing

• • Support for the aged or infirm
  • Assistance for women, children, and those experiencing hardship
  • Initiatives addressing poverty and public health needs

🌱 Leadership & Vocational Development

• • Sponsorship of youth leadership courses
  • Support for vocational training and skills development

🏛️ Community Facilities & Environment

• • Improvements to public amenities such as halls, libraries, parks, museums, and sports facilities
  • Protection and enhancement of the natural environment
  • Support for rescue, emergency, and animal welfare services
  • Social rehabilitation resources

🤝 Supporting Other Charities

• • Hands‑on service
  • Fundraising partnerships
  • Sponsorship and collaborative community projects

🌍 Disaster & Emergency Support

• • We provide assistance to our community — and others — in times of disaster or urgent need.
